Ahmadi Heritage Tour
KGBC members are invited to join a guided tour of Ahmadi led by Arch. Batool Ashour, Director of the Ahmadi Cultural Platform Project at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL)
The tour will explore the latest efforts to restore and rehabilitate key historical spaces and buildings within Ahmadi, including the Old Market and Cinema, offering insight into how the city’s architectural and urban heritage is being carefully preserved and reactivated.
Participants will learn about the broader initiative to document and develop Ahmadi as an integrated cultural and social heritage site, where historical authenticity is thoughtfully blended with contemporary design to support long-term cultural value and community engagement.
The tour will also highlight the council’s ongoing work in collaboration with UNESCO and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as part of preparations for Ahmadi’s nomination to the World Heritage List, aiming to ensure the city’s global significance is formally recognized.
This tour is exclusive to KGBC members.
