In a new step toward a more sustainable future, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and the Kuwait Green Building Council (KGBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of sustainability and green architecture, supporting Kuwait Vision 2035.

The partnership focuses on integrating scientific research with professional expertise to develop a more efficient and higher-quality built environment through collaborative research and applied studies, as well as organizing conferences, workshops, training programs, and awareness initiatives.

Areas of collaboration also include exploring initiatives and projects that contribute to improving the efficiency of energy, water, and natural resource use, while promoting green building concepts and sustainable construction practices in Kuwait.

Dr. Faisal Al-Humaidan, Director General of KISR, emphasized that this step represents an opportunity to transform research and scientific knowledge into practical applications that support national development and address future environmental challenges.

Meanwhile, Engineer Khaled Al-Mashaan, Chairman of KGBC, highlighted the importance of unifying efforts between scientific and professional institutions to promote a culture of sustainability and strengthen environmentally responsible practices within the built environment sector.
