About KGBC
Established officially in 2017, Kuwait Green Building Council (KGBC) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental, membership-driven organization seeking to promote and advocate for the sustainable transformation of Kuwait's built environment. KGBC is affiliated with a global network of more than 75 green building councils operating under the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) umbrella.
At the Kuwait Green Building Council, we believe that buildings and urban environments are catalysts for shaping our sustainable future. Al-Sayer Group Joins Kuwait Green Building Council as a Platinum Member
Al-Sayer International Trading General and Contracting Company has officially joined the Kuwait Green Building Council (KGBC) as a Platinum Member for 2025, reinforcing its commitment to promoting sustainable practices in Kuwait’s built environment.
LEED Certification Support for J2 Project
KGBC has partnered with J2 General Contracting Company to support the certification of the new J2 - Business and Retail Center in Jaber Al Ahmad. KGBC will provide expert guidance and technical support to ensure that sustainable practices are integrated throughout every stage of the project. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to sustainability in Kuwait’s evolving urban landscape.

Dayyem Program Concludes First Cycle
The Dayyem Renewable Energy Training Program successfully concluded its first cycle last month, marking five weeks of immersive learning, collaboration, and innovation. Organized through a strategic partnership between bp Kuwait and KGBC, Dayyem is part of bp Kuwait’s social investment program and supports Kuwait’s Vision 2040 and national development goals in education, sustainability, and economic diversification.
