IESVE Building Performance Modelling Training

Wednesday, 24 December 2025

From 1–3 December 2025, the Kuwait Green Building Council (KGBC) successfully hosted a three-day IESVE Building Performance Modelling Training at its offices, bringing together professionals eager to deepen their technical understanding of building performance simulation and sustainable design.

The training was delivered by Girish R.V., an experienced IESVE specialist, and offered participants a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on application, ensuring both conceptual clarity and practical confidence.

A Structured Learning Experience

The program was designed to gradually build knowledge over three days. The first two days focused on informative sessions covering 3D model creation, solar shading analysis, dynamic thermal simulation, heating and cooling load calculations in line with ASHRAE standards, detailed daylighting assessments, and airflow analysis.

The third day was dedicated entirely to practical learning, where participants engaged in hands-on problem solving, group discussions, and technical presentations that reinforced real-world application of the tools.

Practical Focus & Professional Value

A key highlight of the training was its strong emphasis on real-world application. The third day allowed participants to directly apply the tools they learned, troubleshoot challenges, and engage in peer discussions—bridging the gap between theory and practice.

To further support continued learning, all participants were granted a 60-day trial license of IESVE, enabling them to explore the software independently and integrate building performance modelling into their ongoing projects.

Advancing Sustainable Building Practices in Kuwait

This training reflects KGBC’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and professional development within Kuwait’s built environment sector. By equipping practitioners with advanced modelling tools, KGBC aims to support data-driven decision-making, energy-efficient design, and climate-responsive buildings aligned with Kuwait’s sustainability goals.

KGBC extends its sincere appreciation to Girish R.V. for delivering an engaging and impactful training, and to all participants for their active involvement throughout the three days.
