Eng. Khaled Al-Mashaan

As Vice Chairman and CEO of ALARGAN International Real Estate Company Khaled Al-Mashaan has a number of responsibilities both on the business strategy and the business operations front. Eng. Al-Mashaan comes with three decades of experience in civil engineering and real estate development industries. Early in his career he was involved in landmark projects in Kuwait and contributed to the post war damage assessment following 1990 – 1991 Gulf War. In 1994, Eng. Khaled founded ALARGAN, a pioneering real estate development company focused on quality affordable, middle income housing and commercial outlets within the GCC region. Under his leadership, ALARGAN has grown from a family-owned business into a publicly listed company on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, with approximately KD 47 million of assets under management established in Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Eng. Al-Mashaan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles – USA; he has successfully completed the Financial Management Program and the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Professional Biography
Dr. Sulaiman is Assistant Professor of Finance and Real Estate at Gulf University for Science and Technology Dr. Sulaiman is also the Chairman of REMAS Group and served Vice Chairman of Aqar Real Estate Investments.. He possesses an international reputation in the fields of GCC investments and project development.
Prior to his current responsibilities, Dr. Sulaiman was a financial and real estate advisor to KPMG, Kuwait Investment Authority, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various local and regional shareholding companies and stock exchanges.
In the academic arena, Dr. Sulaiman was granted the ‘Outstanding Research Thesis Merit Award 2008’ from La Trobe University and has published in numerous international scholar journals. He has participated in over 14 global conferences in Ireland, Brazil, India, Australia, Switzerland, U.K. and the U.S.A.
Dr. Sulaiman was featured in many international publications such as the Financial Times, Global Investor Magazine and appeared frequently on CNBC. Dr. Sulaiman holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA (Finance and Real Estate) from University of Hartford, USA, and a PhD in Finance from Latrobe University, Australia.

Eng. Abdullah Al-Mutairi

Mr. Al-Mutairi is the vice chairman and chief Executive officer of EnerTech Holding Corporation, a Kuwaiti company owned by the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA). EnerTech’s venture capital and private equity investments focus on oil and gas (fossil and renewable generation, efficiency and storage), water (desalination, treatment, distribution and conservation), and clean technology (emissions monitoring and control, waste management and recycling, and environmental remediation). Previously, Mr. Al-Mutairi served as a senior investment manager for NTEC and headed its energy, water and clean technology division. Prior to NTEC, he served as an investment analyst for the KIA. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Kuwait University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University Long Beach.

Eng. Dina Al-Nakib

Joined Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research between 1988 and 2014. Was involved in a number of projects in the field of power systems, solar radiation modeling, energy conservation, energy auditing with specialty in lighting systems and green buildings assessments.
Member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and American Society for Heating and Refrigeration Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Certified Lighting Energy Professional (CLEP) obtained from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) – USA since 2003. President of Kuwait Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers from 2009 to 2014. Awarded “Legend in Energy” title in 2010 and 2012 for continuous work in energy conservation and efficiency.

Eng. Mohammed Al-Dowaisan

Mohammad is a founding board member of KGBC, which was formed to serve sustainability in Kuwait. Mohammad holds the position if investment manager at Enertech Holding, Subsidiary of National Technology Enterprises Company, with a focus on sustainability sectors that includes energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, water, environment and oil & gas sectors.
